As a kid, I just adored Stouffers Frozen French Bread pepperoni pizza. Besides enjoying the taste, I love the fact that you got two of those suckers in one box. I always liked that.

Next up was Totinos Frozen Pepperoni Pizzas. These pizzas suck but the fact that you could buy 10 of them and still have money to buy beer made me a convert.

As my salary increased, I then hit Tombstone Frozen pizza. I started to branch off in the supreme toppings instead of just pepperoni. Even though they seem to be on sale all the time, they are pretty solid. I like the crust, the toppings, and it cooks up real nice.

Then I started to experiment with DiGiorno’s Pizza and this new thing called the “rising crust”. I give this company credit…this was as close to fresh pizza as I’ve ever seen. I did think the crust could be too doughy so I’d switch to the thin crust every now and then. The toppings are always plentiful and well distributed.

Then I graduated folks, to California Pizza Kitchen frozen Margherita pizza. I would add my own toppings and cook this bad boy up. Just delicious and when cooked up it tasted like it was made in a restaurant.

So I’m strolling down the aisles in my favorite Publix, 2201 North University, minding my own business and then POW! I look in the frozen pizza cooler and see a cool looking brown pizza box that looks like a carnival character with its mouth open on the front. Guys and kids love packaging like this! We get wowed easily with pictures…see it don’t take much to make us happy.

Is the name of this gift from the gods. The crust, toppings and cheese are plentiful and look fresh as hell. My favorite is the Supremus Maximus…Pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, and black olives. Besides the amount of toppings it’s the quality of them too. You can taste the difference and you don’t have to be a food connoisseur.

Screamin’ Sicilian offers six varieties: Bessie’s Revenge (cheese), Boss Hog (Italian Sausage), Holy Pepperoni!, Mambo Italiano! (Italian Combination) Spicy Clucker (chicken) and Supremus Maximum (Supreme). The pizzas retail for $8.99, and are BOGO at Publix until Wednesday February 17, 2016.
