New England Greek Style Pizza Recipe
This EasyGreekPizza, packed with Greek flavors from the herbs, spinach, and feta cheeseis a fabulous taste treat, one that I’ve made dozens of times — and even convinced some of my picky children to love as well.
This Greek Pizza is simple and affordable, yet packed with flavor. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how tasty spinach on a pizza is! For the carnivores among you, you could easily add grilled chicken or steak.
It’s delicious. What makes this homemade Greek Pizza is the spinach and feta cheese. I embellish it with extra vegetables for a little heft. It’s meatless while still being hearty. The tang of the cheese and the sweetness of the sauce play well with the woodsy mushrooms and fresh spinach flavor.

Pizza dough – We have more than one homemade pizza dough recipe for you to try here on Good Cheap Eats, but you can also use a store bought pizza dough or even a prebaked base like a tortilla, french bread, or pita bread.
Tomato sauce – I like to spread canned tomato sauce on the crust, but you can also use extra virgin olive oil or your favorite pizza sauce. Since I’m going to add seasoning, I don’t worrk about the latter. Don’t forget to freeze tomato sauce if you’ve got extra.
Greek Pizza With Caramelized Onions, Kalamata Olives And Feta
Greek seasoning – I use my homemade Greek Spice Blend, but you can use a commercial blend or even just a ½ teaspoon dried oregano if that’s what you have.
Veggies – I like to layer baby spinach, sliced mushrooms, and seeded, chopped tomatoes. Check the variations below for other good veggies to add.
Cheese – Both crumbled feta cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese are great on this Greek Pizza. Remember you can freeze cheese if you’ve got lots leftover.

Greek Pepperoni Pizza And Philomena » Djalali Cooks
Friday is pizza night at our house and this Greek-inspired pie is one of our latest favorites. It’s not an entirely traditional pizza – no red sauce here. Just top the dough with olive oil, feta, spinach, roasted bell peppers, and olives.
My best tip for making homemade pizza is to roll it out and then bake it on parchment paper . Even very sticky pizza dough is easy to roll out onto parchment and the parchment prevents it from sticking to the sheet pan or pizza stone. Even though many types of parchment paper have a recommended cooking temperature that is lower than the temperature at which pizzas cook, I’ve never had any issue (and Cooks Illustrated also says it’s just fine).

Feta cheese doesn’t melt the same way that mozzarella does. If you prefer that melty mozzarella texture / flavor on your pizza, use mozzarella or use it in addition to the feta.

Greek Pizza With Tzatziki Drizzle
This homemade pizza recipe is super fast and to make because instead of using pizza dough, we topped a store-bought pizza crust with all of the Greek toppings. It is so convenient, and if you haven’t tried some of the newer pizza crusts on the market, you will find that they have great texture and are as delicious as pizza made from fresh pizza dough.
The toppings for this recipe are mostly all pantry staples so you can keep them on hand for whenever you need to make a fast family-friendly dinner!
For this pizza I used a par-baked purchased pizza crust. There are many popular brands, and I tested this Greek Pizza recipe with several well known brands. You’ll need a 10 ounce thin-style pizza crust. They’re about 11 to 12 inches in diameter. You can also use purchased dough or make your own whole-wheat pizza dough instead.

Because this is one of those K.I.S.S. recipes, I like to use store-bought tomato sauce. I mean I’m not going to stop you from making homemade Napoli sauce, but I’m telling you I just went ahead and bought a jar of sauce.
I recommend Tomato Basil sauce for the classic neutral flavor. I have been buying Newman’s lately, but there are so many decent jarred sauces on the market. You only need 1/2 cup of the sauce, so you can use the rest to make Stuffed Shells with Spinach.
This is an ingredient that I discovered a few years ago. As you may know, I call for Italian Seasoning in a lot of recipes. I use it in Chicken Cacciatore, Minestrone Soup and Crispy Skin Chicken to name a few. I love it mostly because it is like using several spices all at once.
Simple Greek Pizza
Well, Greek Seasoning is the same deal, only it has a slightly different flavor profile. I love the mint in it! Once you have it, try it in garlic marinade! It’s amazing how much flavor it adds.
If you don’t have it on hand, you can sub in Italian Seasoning, or 1/2 teaspoon oregano and 1/4 teaspoon dried mint (if you have it.)
Once you try this recipe, you’ll make a mental not to always keep your pantry stocked with these Greek Pizza ingredients. Mark my words! Just cruise down the international isle (or sometimes the pasta isle) and grab yourself a jar of roasted red peppers, canned artichoke
